Battletech urban warfare paradox icon8/15/2023 Just look at the fairly recent security issues related to Steam on Windows. Personally, I hate any of these platforms that require you to use their launcher, as it begs for problems to occur. Publicado originalmente por JippyJ:Hey we're allowed to hate exclusives or even platforms lol. It's really no more complicated than alot of layered gear management in RPG's, let alone other strategy games where you can design your own units etc, so there's really not that much of a learning curve.Īnd frankly, IMO, if they can't be bothered figuring (what is really quite basic mechanics) out, nor can be bothered looking up guides as to how it works (if they can't figure it out for themselves), maybe the game's not for them anyway. Let's be honest, how many people are actually gonna play Battletech who are not Battletech fans?Īs for it being too complicated. I think that RT is to advanced for new players and contains far too many TT parts that would confuse or annoy people that were not BT fans. You can alter a vast array of settings to change your experience one way or another (easier, or harder) to your liking though. If Roguetech's difficulty was toned down a notch as I realise not everyone wants their games to be as unforgiving as Roguetech tends to be to mistakes. Roguetech is, IMO, what vanilla should have been. It's sad we are back to exclusive deals on gaming. I refuse to buy on a platform that is anti-consumer. Sadly I have to pass until it's on Steam. *edit* Well I just found Mech Warrior 5 is coming in December via google! However, it's a freaking Epic exclusive of course. I guess I am to casual, but I do play games like Stellars(4x) so I just mostly don't like games that make you replay them over and over to get good. I just want to nerd out for about 2 hours a night on a game I can enjoy. I don't care what "hard really is," as I have a few hours a night to play after work and time with my son. We need a good SP game with a campaign like the old ones.Īnyways as I said I would get back into this if they increased the mech's allowed per mission, and how many you get. Yea I checked that out, but they made it pay to win and not in a form I like. This is a great computer version of the Tabletop game a turn based wargame, it was simplified for the non Battle tech fans if you want a game that is closer to the original Tabletop game use the Rogue tech mod and learn what hard really is. They already made Mechwarrior online a FPS mechwarrior game! Optimally they make a new Mechwarrior game with FPS/3rd person controls that supports a joystick :P. Obviously the turn based combat wont change for this game, but I would at least like to field more mechs and I might consider returning and buying dlc at that point. I loved mechwarrior when I was younger, but this turn based combat just wasn't for me. The game plays a lot like Xcom, and I just don't know. There is just to many other games I can switch to so I don't have to mess with starting over honestly. I eventually ran into a point in the campaign where all of my mechs were damaged and I lost interest. Publicado originalmente por MaGicBush:I stopped playing shortly after I bought it because of the lack of mechs you get each mission.
